 ** WAR STRATEGY **

* Co-Leaders Will Send Defense Reinforcements *
Please do not send giants or bombs or other junk. Let us fill the castles for war defense.

For Our Bases:

TH in middle of base!
Clan Castle in the middle of your base!
Organize your base for best defense before Attack period starts!

When attacking their bases:

**Be Aware of their Clan Castle: Expect high troops, have a plan for them!!
The worst attacks we see are people who don't pay attention to enemy clan castle, and lose all of their troops quickly to the reinforcments. PLAN FOR THAT!!!

War Target Cut-off: Leave their top 5 bases alone unless you are in our top 5 and are certain you can score at least 2 Stars.

Target Selection: Try and attack your recommended target first. The recommended target is based on your ATK strength vs. their DEF strength. You can go a little bit above or below (2-3 spots) if you need to...so remember:

Pick someone you -know- you can at least 2 Stars against, based on your raiding and trophy pushing experience. Be smart! Getting 1 star because of poor choice hurts our Clan total.

** Target Selection Guidelines - PLEASE FOLLOW**

1. Do not attack their bottom 10 bases unless you are in our bottom 10! NO LOWBIE poaching! Our smallest members need a chance to win with their smaller armies.

2. If you are confident in your attacking, challenge yourself with a slightly higher target than recommended, BUT, the most important thing is to get stars. Let your clan mates have first try at some of the easier bases.

3. EARN STARS. If you attack someone noticeably weaker than you, make sure you beat them hard or prepare to hear about it from your Clan Mates. There is nothing worse than someone who fails at an overpowered attack.

Tips and Learning for More Destruction:

Target Selection:

When you pick your target, there are only two things to keep in mind:
  1. Can my level and type of troops beat this base? Can I deploy* them effectively here?
  2. In the worse case, will I still win 2 Stars?
We want to earn the most stars possible, period. BUT, we have to make sure we leave their weakest targets for our most junior members, while making sure to still pick winnable fights ourselves. Poor base selection will cost us Stars, plain and simple.

* Troop Deployment

What is deployment? Deployment is the order and number you send your troops out in. The order you send troops out in depends on army composition**
  • Always deploy Barbs or Giants before Wallbreakers. Sending them naked is usually dumb.
  • Time your Wallbreakers to avoid Mortar fire. Leave a slight delay between each, they will go to the next level if the first breaks a wall.
  • Deploy Barbarians in a wave/line so they don't group and to protect against Wizards/Mortars.
  • Archers and Wizards perform best when deployed behind Giants or Barbarians.
  • Wizards do better in small groups spread out...they do damage slow, get them on multiple targets asap! Try groups of 2 place behind meatier troops.
  • Big groups of Giants need a healer or healing spell to survive mortar and wizard tower fire. Try and direct them towards air defense and drop a rage spell to get Healers out quicker.
  • Before you deploy a healer, send out 1-2 minions to destroy any homing air mines.
  • Giants strength are in numbers, but if you use too many you don't have room for cheap attackers like archers/gobs.
  • Only deploy goblins late (if at all!) and only to help clean up quick. They run fast and can get to corner buildings/resources quickly. 4-6 do surprisingly well when there are no defenses left.
  • Barbs are very versatile...you can use them only as damage sponges for archers behind them, or purely for damage themselves. And it's usually both. They die to Wizard and Mortar quickly but hold up well against Archer/Cannon due to their HP and being grouped up.
** Army Composition

Your army type should change depending on what your focus is. If you want to use giants, for example, commit to them. Don't buy 8 and expect them to work the way 20 do. Even with healing they will wear down eventually due to having to take all that damage with 8 bodies instead of 20. Healing is meant to keep groups alive.

If you need ideas, look at the makeup of armies that are successful at attaking your own base. What did they use? What ratio of troops did they use? What was primary damage coming from, archers, wiz, or other? OR, ask your clan mates to post an attack that shows an army comp. they like.

Just remember: Think about each troop type you include, how many you need, and why. For example: If you make 20 barbarians each round out of habit, but always seem to end up without enough damage at the end, make 8 barbarians and 12 more archers instead, or 20 more archers (for example). Save 10 archers to deploy late when 90% of defense is dead.
